"For the past 4 years I have traveled and lectured extensively throughout the United States and Canada. I get to see firsthand many talented athletes and exceptional teachers and facilities. But I will happily and eagerly report that my November 2007 trip to the Baseball Zone in Mississauga was truly a remarkable, one of a kind experience. After my three days with Coach Johnston, Mike McCarthy, Ryan Armstrong and the gang, I would rate the Baseball Zone as not only the top Academy in Canada, but one of the top 5 Baseball Academies in the World.

The Baseball Zone is not only professionally managed, it is obviously on the constant search to improve itself and give its clients the most current and progressive information and training protocols available in the world today. In fact I was so impressed by the Zone and I'm so much of a believer in Rick, Mike and Ryan that I plan on returning to Mississauga 2-3 times a year."

"I have had the opportunity to travel the world speaking on pitching to national teams, leagues and academies. My trip to The Baseball Zone in Toronto, Ontario was without a doubt one of the best experiences I have had both from my experience in how I was treated to the energy shown by all of the staff at the "Zone" and the players themselves.

There is obviously something special going on up north. A first class facility, friendly atmosphere but above all a knowledgeable staff that has and will continue to provide the latest and best information available to help their clients. Being in professional baseball may seem like the ultimate dream of any coach. But nothing compares to the feeling a teacher (coach) gets when a light goes on in a young player and he is able to achieve what has eluded him. The attentiveness and attention to detail exhibited by "Zone" students was testimony to previous work done.

The Zone allows a player to dream because it challenges, helps, and directs their progress toward their ultimate goal whatever that may be. I am deeply appreciative to Mike and Rick for inviting me to their facility and the trust they had in me in working with their players. Simply said "they do it the right way". There will be some player's coming out of Toronto soon. I will be watching and won't be surprised if some who dream the highest goal make it.
