Our Mission Statement
It is our passion for baseball that led to the creation of The Baseball Zone. Our elite, indoor baseball training complex provides and fosters an understanding and love for this game like no other. It is designed to be a welcoming home for baseball and softball players of all ages and playing levels. We employ the very best training philosophies, equipment and staff to fully assist our athletes reach their goals. We maintain a sporting atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of baseball for everyone that comes through our doors. We will also make your every visit to The Baseball Zone a friendly, invigorating experience that the team, the youth and the elite athlete will be challenged by, learn from and want to return to again and again.

Our Facility
The Baseball Zone is Canada's largest and best equipped indoor baseball and softball training facility. Just under 15,000 square feet, we have the latest and best equipment available providing the ultimate atmosphere for improving your game. We also have the best instructional staff in the country, led by Head Instructor, Rick Johnston, one of Canada's most respected teachers of the game. There are also other amenities such as our lounge area and pro shop, making The Baseball Zone your # 1 choice for all of your baseball and softball needs.
We have:
- The latest technology in artificial turf providing the safest and most realistic indoor surface
- Six retractable batting cages each equipped with either pitching machines and/or L-screens
- Open field area for defense and pitching with the ability to create a second area or one giant area by retracting cages
- Four portable pro/college pitching mounds
- Four practice areas for tee work and soft toss
- Comfortable lounge area with TV and satellite
- Viewing mezzanine with 2 TV's and satellite

Our Pitching Machines
The Baseball Zone is equipped with the newest and best pitching machines available on the market. The arm-style pitching machines are all hopper-fed with no need for manual feeding and pitch up to 600 balls in the course of one hour. With each pitch you see the machine's arm wind up and release the ball. It is the realistic nature of the machine that allows you to practice the same fundamentals in the batting cages as you use on the field.
We have two Iron Mike pitching machines. Each machine has the following advantages:
- Arm-style machine allowing for proper timing
- 600 baseball capacity
- Warning light to indicate the machine is running
Our Batting Cages
The Baseball Zone is equipped with the largest and best batting cages available on the market. They are fully retractable in just minutes and provide the safest and most complete training space for hitting off pitching machines or throwing live batting practice.
We have:
- Two 54' cages equipped with Iron Mike pitching machines
- Four 40' cages equipped with L-screens
Each 54' cage has the following advantages:
- 50% wider and 20% higher than standard commercial cages
- Size permits live batting practice to be thrown comfortably
- 50% stronger gauging than standard commercial netting
Each 40' cage has the following advantages:
- Perfect size for live batting practice and teaching
- Retractable in minutes for additional throwing/defense area
- 50% stronger gauging than standard commercial netting
Our Artificial Turf
The Baseball Zone is equipped with the latest technology in artificial turf. Used in all NFL turfed stadiums, most CFL stadiums and at Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Long like grass and padded with rubber infill, it provides the ultimate in safety and true playing conditions
We have:
- 12,000 square feet of artificial turf
- 12 tons of rubber infill

- Feels and plays like natural grass with consistent performance
- Extremely durable with no wear-down effect
